Ghost at the Zoo


The Zoo York Institute, in association with Def Jam and Cornerstone Promotion, have launched an exclusive collaboration that celebrates the recent release of Ghostface Killah’s critically-acclaimed new album, “The Big Doe Rehab.” This highly-anticipated collab features a co-branded skateboard deck and T-shirt adorned with custom graphics that pay homage to Ghost’s new album, as well as the abundance of AKA’s the hip-hop icon has adopted over the past fifteen years. Limited to less than 500 promo-only pieces and slated to release in early February 2008, these co-op collectibles will be available exclusively through in-store and online promos from Def Jam, Cornerstone, and of course, the Zoo.

Logan Aldridge Inspires Great Atlantic Lacrosse

Thirty account managers at Great Atlantic Lacrosse Co., which is part of Eurosport, were enthralled by a meeting with Logan Aldridge, a 16 year old lacrosse and wakeboard enthusiast who attends Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. He is best known for rebounding after losing his left arm in a wakeboarding accident in June 2004, returning to his favorite sports, and achieving at even higher levels. Aldridge has since become nationally-known motivational speaker.

"We brought in Logan because his story is a powerful motivator for everyone, no matter what challenge they face,” said Chris Steffens, director of sales. “He connected with our sales team not only because of his passion for lacrosse, but also because his story has an impact on everyone who hears it.”

Nike ACG Launches Duo-Film Competition

As part of its Sweetspots film project, Nike ACG launching two competitions. One offers a chance for the athlete to show off his or her skills on the slopes by submitting their own Sweetspot; the second offers an opportunity to join the Sweetspots film crew in July 2008 in Patagonia to help produce next winter’s first Sweetspot. The deadline for both competitions is April 1. Dick's Sporting Goods recently relaunched Nike ACG as an exclusive in its stores.

Under Armour High School All-American Game

Under Armour is the title sponsor of the ESPNU High School All-American Game debuting Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL. The newly-titled Under Armour High School All-American Game will showcase more than 80 of the country's top prep football prospects. The game will be broadcast live on ABC at 2 p.m. ET.
